Beginning:

Justin Randall Timberlake was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 31st, 1981. His father was a choir director at a Baptist church, and most of his family members were involved in music. At 11 years old, Justin performed on Star Search and sang a country song. He started to gravitate towards R&B music and listened to artists such as Al Green, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. In 1993 and 1994, he was on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club, where he met JC Chasez, and ended up recruiting him to be a part of a new boy band, which turned out to be NSYNC.

NSYNC was formed in 1995 and Justin and JC were the two lead singers. Their first album sold 11 million copies, and their second album No Strings Attached, sold 2.4 million copies worldwide. Some hit singles were “It’s Gonna Be Me” and “Tearin’ Up My Heart”. In late 1999, Justin appeared in a Disney Channel original movie Model Behavior, and this was when he started to receive more attention from the others in the group. In 2001, the group released a couple more albums, and they were internationally famous by this time. Everyone knew who NSYNC was. They performed at the Academy Awards, the Olympics and even the Super Bowl. NSYNC became the fifth-best selling boy band in history selling more than 70 million records worldwide. By the time 2002 came, the band started to split and work on their own solo careers. Justin partnered with Pharrell Williams and then started to create new music.

Many people will always remember this performance because Justin mistakenly tore off a piece of Janet’s bra. This is a moment in music history that will always be remembered. He won two Grammy awards, but he could only receive them if he agreed to apologize on TV for the Superbowl incident, which he did.

After the incident, Justin starred in several films while putting his music career on hold for a brief moment. During this time he still did collaborations with different artists like the Blackeyed Peas and Snoop Dogg.

In 2006, he released his second solo album FutureSex/LoveSounds, and this album became the biggest album for pre-orders on iTunes. Some popular singles were “SexyBack”, “My Love” and “What Goes Around...Comes Around”. His music became a priority due to all the success, so he decided to fall back on his acting career for now. This album was added into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s music library.

Justin made some appearances and hosted the European MTV Awards, and Saturday Night Live, and his hosting turned out to be one of the most iconic musical moments on the show in history.
